This last week i got to study Monet, for my 19th Century Art class... he has always been one of my most favorite artists... he often painted en plein-air, which is painting outside, directly from nature, which was not done a lot, but you definitely get that airy feeling just from looking at his paintings. you can tell that he loved nature and just taking it all in!! i love his style and how he just looked around him and painted what he saw... i thought i would post a couple paintings of his that i love.

my beautiful orchid has been in bloom and i love it! looking at it gives me a wonderful feeling of spring... i am so ready for spring! feburary felt like a really long month... so i am happy march is here, spring break is in two weeks, and then before i know it the semester will be over! yay!! right at the end of the semester, my sister and i are flying out to california to visit our friend, her husband, and their cutie baby boy! i am so excited! i will be out there for my birthday, and will hopefully be going to disneyland, one of my favorite places!!! i can't wait for may!! haha!! i am very thankful for everything in my life! God has blessed me so much... but, not long ago, we found out that my grandma has breast cancer, thankfully it looks like it has not spread, and she is having surgery this week, so we have hope! my grandma is a big part of my life... we have a really close family and i thank God so much for them! I am really praying for my grandma and also, for my aunt (my grandma's sister), who is battling cancer too... it is a bit scary, BUT i have faith and i know that they are both very strong women, who i love so much!
